In an effort to meet with both the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, which are published by the W3C Consortium and the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the following is provided for your information:
The website is written in Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1 and complies to WCAG 1.0 Priority 2.
All manual warnings have been checked and addressed where applicable.
Appearance
This website employs Cascading Stylesheets or CSS. These can be overridden by configuring your browsers setting appropriately.
If you are using Internet Explorer for Windows, select the Tools Menu, then Internet Options – the Internet Options tab will allow you to choose to use your own stylesheet.
The Safari for Mac Browser will permit you to use your own stylesheet by selecting preferences from the Safari Menu and then selecting the Advanced tab and changing the stylesheet property.
Text Size can be altered by holding down the CTRL key (for Windows users), and the CMD key (for Mac users) and then pressing + or - accordingly. Internet Explorer users can use the View Menu, and then highlight Text Size and then select the appropraite option.
Access Keys / Shortcuts
Due to the small size of this website Keyboards shortcuts have not been applied. Access Keys are available for the following pages:
- Home Page - Access Key = H
- Contacts Page - Access Key = C
- Accessibility Page - Access Key = A
A logical tab order is present and should suffice, however if you find that this is not the case please contact us by email at info@theweddingpoet.co.uk and let us know.
Browser Compatibility
Whilst we cannot promise to ensure that this website will work in every browser in the market we have tried to ensure that this website will work in the majority of browsers. We are aware that this website may have minor problems in Internet Explorer 6, and some revisions of Netscape Navigator. These issues we are currently working on.
